!

DO NOT SKIP THIS

Track requirements that matter.

1/10 SCALE OR SMALLER ONLY

Track vehicles must be 1/10 scale or smaller. Larger vehicles are not permitted on the racing surfaces.

1/10 OFF-ROAD MUST BE 2WD

All 1/10-scale off-road vehicles must be two-wheel drive. Vehicles smaller than 1/10 scale may be two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

2S LiPo MAXIMUM

Only 2S LiPo batteries or smaller are permitted on the track. Larger battery configurations are not allowed.

CLEAN VEHICLES ONLY

Bring a clean vehicle with no dirt, mud, rocks, or debris before entering the track. Help us protect the carpet and keep the facility clean.

PROTECT THE CARPET

Flat-bottom chassis require a chassis protector. All buggies require shock tower guards. Check and tighten exposed screws before driving.

SLASH CHASSIS REQUIREMENT

All 2WD Slash-based chassis must use the required RPM rear bumper mount, part RPM80902, where applicable to the class rules.

STAGE ONE RACE EARLY

Be ready and lined up one race before yours for vehicle inspection. A strict two-minute timer runs between races.

IMPOUND, THEN MARSHAL

After racing, immediately impound your vehicle and return to marshal. Remain alert, stay off your phone, and keep your assigned corner covered.

SXT 3.0 TIRE SAUCE ONLY

SXT 3.0 is the only approved tire sauce for the main carpet track. Ask staff about program-specific exceptions or additional restrictions.

STOP IF YOU FLIP

Release the throttle and wait for a turn marshal. Never reverse, cut the course, drive against traffic, or enter a live track.

KEEP THE TRACK FAST + SAFE

Track rules.
No exceptions.

These facility procedures apply whenever you practice or race at Indy RC. Class-specific vehicle requirements remain governed by each original rule sheet.

Before you drive

  • Pay your track or race fee before entering the track.
  • Bring your vehicle for inspection when checking in.
  • Keep your wristband visible if you leave and return.
  • Monday and Thursday welcome all track-legal off-road, on-road, and oval vehicle types.
  • On race days, any track-legal vehicle matching that day's program may use open practice; it does not need to qualify for a race class.
  • Open practice ends one hour before each race; that final hour is for registered racers.
  • Open-practice drivers must clear their pit space when the open session ends.

Vehicle + carpet protection

  • Only 1/10-scale or smaller vehicles are permitted on the track.
  • All 1/10-scale off-road vehicles must be 2WD; smaller-scale vehicles may be 2WD or 4WD.
  • Vehicles must be clean, safe, free of dirt and debris, and fitted with a body.
  • Check hardware and exposed screws before entering the track.
  • Chassis protectors are required for flat-bottom chassis.
  • Shock tower guards are required for all buggies.
  • Class-specific vehicle size, batteries, ride height, and equipment requirements are governed by that class’s original rule sheet.

Pits + battery safety

  • Only 2S LiPo batteries or smaller are permitted for track use.
  • Use only your allotted four feet of pit space.
  • Store bags and boxes under the table and keep aisles clear.
  • Always supervise batteries while charging and use appropriate LiPo safety protection.
  • Report swollen or damaged batteries to staff immediately.
  • SXT 3.0 is the only approved tire sauce on the main carpet track.

Driver stand + track conduct

  • Drive from the designated driver stand only.
  • No reversing, course cutting, aggressive driving, or intentional contact.
  • If your vehicle flips or gets stuck, release the throttle and wait for a marshal.
  • Remain on the driver stand until every vehicle has finished.
  • Only authorized turn marshals may enter the track during a live race.

Race flow + inspections

  • Stage one race before your own heat for inspection.
  • Two-minute timers between races are strict; races start when the timer ends.
  • Vehicles can be inspected before or after a race at staff discretion.
  • Failing a required inspection may prevent participation or result in disqualification.
  • After your race: impound your car immediately, then report to marshal.

Safety + sportsmanship

  • Keep racing friendly, respectful, and family appropriate.
  • No abusive language, harassment, reckless behavior, or unsafe conduct.
  • Keep emergency exits and access areas clear.
  • Alert staff immediately about injuries, hazards, or LiPo battery emergencies.
  • Race-control and track-management decisions are final.
